Coffey Anderson and his wife, Criscilla, share many things in common. For example, they are both celebrities. Coffey is a well-known country music performer, and Criscilla is a top-tier dancer who has worked with Britney Spears, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Cassidy, Sean Kingston, and many others. Together they helped create then star in their own Netflix reality show called "Country Ever After."

Another thing the Andersons share in common is their faith in God, their love for America, and the freedoms granted by both. So, it's not surprising that Coffey and Criscilla are behind the second annual Freedom Fest in Celina, Texas (an event honoring law enforcement, first responders, and the military.)

Host Ron Lyons sat down with Coffey and Criscilla Anderson in this episode. He discovered how they met, what life is like in small-town Texas, and what keeps them together amid all the stresses of being a celebrity family. And they may have ended up playing a modern version of the dating game on this episode. Did Coffey say that Criscilla has a shopping addiction? And did Criscilla say that Coffey really can't dance? Find out in this episode of CelinaRadio.com.

Hosts Note: Coffey and Criscilla were AWESOME. They are funny, God-loving, proud Americans. And both are VERY talented. It was my pleasure to spend some time with them, and I one hundred percent walked away with a smile on my face and a pain in my side from laughing the whole time. Enjoy!

Ron Lyons (00:02):
How do you describe the country style now?

Coffey Anderson (00:05):
Um, I think it's country is now hipster because of Yellowstone right on, I mean, there's the number one

Halloween costume last year was Rip. Wow.

Criscilla Anderson (00:16): I am not mad at that.

Coffey Anderson (00:20): We go, here we go.

Ron Lyons (00:21):

Welcome to Celina Radio recorded right here in Celina, Texas, a quiet little dusty sleepy town that has absolutely nothing going on. You probably recognize this background music. And the reason that you would recognize this background music is because that's Coffey Anderson Coffey is a local celebrity reached us well beyond Celina and Prosper, Texas though. He's on Netflix. He's at the grand Ole Opry Coffey. Anderson is taking America by storm, but you know what Coffey is not taking America by himself. He has an amazing wife, right by his side, named Criscilla, who is very famous in her own, right. That's right. She's danced with some of the biggest names in entertainment. And a really awesome thing is when you put these two together Coffey and Cris with their love of God and of country and of Celina and Prosper, Texas, you've got an amazing combination. It was a wild and awesome ride. So sit back and listen to this episode with Coffey Anderson and his wife, CriscCriscilla. All right, guys, I'm here right now with somebody that you're just gonna be absolutely in love with. I'm already a huge fan I was before today. And you would know him from a Netflix series. You'd know him from a concert that he's been promoting lately. He's all over YouTube. He's on social media. He is literally everywhere. His name is Coffey Anderson. What's going on? How are you doing today?

Coffey Anderson (02:38):
Good man. I'm great. Thank you you for having me brother.

Ron Lyons (02:39):

Good. And you, and, and I see that, uh, your, your balancing life is here. So CriscCriscilla, how are you doing? Hi. I'm good. How are you? Very, very, very good. So I, I just wanna start off right off the bat with, let's talk about this thing that you've got going this Saturday. What, tell me about this thing.

Coffey Anderson (02:56):

Freedom Fest is a all day music festival with games food. We have food trucks. We have a car show from 10 to one. It's gonna be at the roller town, the parking lot next to roller town, but storage in downtown Celina, Texas. And so 10:00 AM to one car show. One o'clock to six is gonna be games, food. And it's something for the whole family, six o'clock to about nine 30 as the concert it's live bands, it's music, it's DJ. And, um, because I didn't, there are certain companies that live like live nation. They own a lot of music venues, uh, CAA, a lot of William Morris. We own our own booking agency with my country music company. So if you don't have certain stipulations that you have to go through, if there's not certain

medical freedoms that you don't do a lot of times, you can't play those venues. So I started freedom Fest last year. So this is our second annual freedom Fest. And it's honestly just a way for me to have my own show, to headline my own concert and also highlight our first responders. So there's gonna be a fire truck there with our firemen from local. We're gonna have a, a police car tour with some officers there we're normalizing. And letting people realize that our cops, our firemen, our nurses, our doctors, they are everyday people that choose to be superheroes.

Ron Lyons (04:17):

And, and as a long time now retired police officer, right? Let me just say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for what you're doing. It's amazing. The it's a very underappreciated job and absolutely, you know, you carry stuff from that job with you for the rest of your life, like goes away. You

Coffey Anderson (04:34): Can, you can't unsee.

Ron Lyons (04:36):

Absolutely. And so for someone like you to take your status and to recognize someone like me with, with no status, that's, that's amazing. So, so, so God bless you for that. And, and just understand that we appreciate that more than you can possibly know. It's it's truly amazing. So thank you.

Coffey Anderson (04:53):

Oh man. I'm, I'm honored to do it. It's so the, and the show's gonna be great. It is a, my performance is gonna be a 90 minute high energy family, friendly country music show with cold beer, good wine and, and patriotism.

Ron Lyons (05:04):
So I, from what I've seen, you don't really do anything. That's not high energy. I mean, that's, that's,

that's you, right? I mean, isn't that just who

Coffey Anderson (05:12):
You are. I have to be calmed down daily.

Ron Lyons (05:15): <laugh>

Criscilla Anderson (05:15):
He lays on the couch with high energy.

Ron Lyons (05:19):
Obviously. Now you've got some Criscilla, you've got some history. You were a professional dancer. Mm-

hmm <affirmative> you're still doing that. Yes. So, so tell me about that. What do you have going on? Criscilla Anderson (05:29):

So, um, my history goes back. I, we just moved here from LA almost two years ago. And I've danced for Britney Spears, Snoop dog, Rihanna, Hannah Montana, Alvin in the chip chipmunks, the movie, uh

Coffey Anderson (05:42):
She's in ahead, I'm on 10 of the movie.

Criscilla Anderson (05:44):

Yep. And Alvin in the chipmunks, one and four. And I currently choreograph for the Dallas cowboy cheerleaders. And so I'm currently teaching master classes all around the DFW area. And once a month, I teach at all out dance academy in Prosper.

Ron Lyons (05:59):
Wow. So I have to know it's a, it's a critical question. How did you guys meet?

Criscilla Anderson (06:04): We met at church, actually.

Ron Lyons (06:06):
We did. Wow. Really? We met at church. That's very interesting. Tell me about it.

Coffey Anderson (06:10):
Um, I was friends with one of her best friend's husbands and I was in church. And then his wife, his

name, her name is Kelly. She came up from, she was like, you need to meet my friend.

Criscilla Anderson (06:22):
Well, he was actually up at the front asking for forgiveness

Coffey Anderson (06:25):

<laugh> and she, one of the man that from the, before she, one of the man that sins and had a pass, you know, so we actually ended up meeting after church. That's funny. Thank you. And uh, I stalked her right for about two weeks and then she finally wanted to eat. Right. We went to Jerry's deli on Ventura Boulevard and I said, I need French toast, bacon, cheese, eggs, a side of fruit, orange juice, and a water. And she said, same <laugh>. And I went

Ron Lyons (06:54): A

Coffey Anderson (06:54): Woman that eats in LA county,

Ron Lyons (06:57):
You know, even love. Well,

Coffey Anderson (06:58):

Absolutely rest of 'em they'll, you know, drink, you know, a great seed water. Right. I'm good for the week. You're like, what?

Criscilla Anderson (07:06):
And not only did I eat every bite, but I ate it faster than you.

Coffey Anderson (07:10):
She eats like a fireman. It it's truck driver que I've never seen anything. Like how

Ron Lyons (07:15):
In the, is it, is it all the dancing? How in the world you stay in such great shape, right? If you can out eat

Coffey.

Criscilla Anderson (07:21):
Well, usually I'm very careful with what I eat, but Uhhuh that day, I,

Coffey Anderson (07:26):
She doesn't eat more than me. She eats faster than me.

Ron Lyons (07:28):
Right. And so tell me, at this point in time, in your life, were you already established with your, with your

career, with singing or was that still an up and coming thing? At this point?

Coffey Anderson (07:38):
I, I was still up and coming in some ways mm-hmm <affirmative> um, I was street performing. Right.

Mm-hmm <affirmative> so I guess that's up and coming.

Ron Lyons (07:45):
Yeah. Got you. So you, so you didn't come up here and say, Hey, by the way, I've got a Netflix show and

I'm this and that. I'm gonna be somebody amazing. You, you, you wonder over strictly on who you are

Coffey Anderson (07:54):

On, on, on manners and love and honor. And I think our sec, our first date, she was filming with Kelly Rowland, who was from Destiny's child. And I went on the set and I was like, hi. And I was like, oh, that's Beyonce's mom. It's Kelly. Wow. Hi Criscilla. And I think, but I, I wasn't after the lifestyle Uhhuh, I was more interested in her and it was the same. Right. I think both of us had been around fame and been popular long enough to know that we wanted something real. Right. We wanted something lasting and we knew what we wanted in our, in each other.

Ron Lyons (08:27):
Very, very nice. And so through, uh, a season,

Coffey Anderson (08:30):
She just happens to be really hot. <laugh>

Ron Lyons (08:34): Do

Coffey Anderson (08:34): You know what I mean?

Criscilla Anderson (08:36): Thank you, babe.

Coffey Anderson (08:36): You're welcome.

Ron Lyons (08:38): You guys have haven't

Criscilla Anderson (08:39): I'm gladed. He still feels that

Ron Lyons (08:40):

Way. You have a, you have a great energy between the two of you and you can see that even when you're here. So you walk in, Coffey's trying to order smoothies and there's this little back and forth over it. And it it's just awesome. So you guys have the chemistry and, and somehow through all of the turn of events, you found your way to Celina slash Prosper. Tell me how do we make that journey here?

Coffey Anderson (09:04):
That journey started when she was in high school?

Ron Lyons (09:07): Well,

Criscilla Anderson (09:07):

Well, yes. Okay. So I have a best friend that lives out here in Prosper. Okay. Her name's Charmaine. And we went to high school together and we would come visit her and Coffey always talked about moving to Texas. In fact, we actually tried it. We moved to Mansfield back in 2012, we lasted three months,

Coffey Anderson (09:30):
Bro. We were there 87 days. We signed a one year lease. We were there 87 days, but I made friends

with the guy that managed the house. Right. He was like, bro, I love you, man. Go get outta here. Yeah.

Ron Lyons (09:40): It's for you.

Criscilla Anderson (09:41):

Not, not working. Yeah. It wasn't for us. And, and I had just had my first child. So I was in that place of trying to find my balance between who I was and being a mom. Right. And we came out here and I was not ready for it. So we went back, but I knew that California was getting pretty bad and once COVID hit and the kids couldn't go to school and I was fighting with my children every day to do their work.

Ron Lyons (10:07): Right, right.

Criscilla Anderson (10:08):
I said, we had that. Something had to change. So we found out that, um, you know, Prosper was growing

and new homes were being built. And we, we just decided to

Coffey Anderson (10:20):
Build 80% of my business was here. I was flying from California to Texas to sing almost every

Ron Lyons (10:25): Week. Wow.

Criscilla Anderson (10:26):
We actually have a few friends that moved with us. I wanna say, mm-hmm <affirmative> within weeks.

We

Coffey Anderson (10:31): Probably

Criscilla Anderson (10:31): A lot. And that helped 10

Coffey Anderson (10:32): People with

Criscilla Anderson (10:33):
The, you know, change. So we felt like we had community instant community. Oh

Coffey Anderson (10:37):
Yeah. And it was like mindedness

Criscilla Anderson (10:39):
And that's major for people with children, you know, when he's traveling. So I'm like, I need my people,

you know? Absolutely. That was super helpful. And we love, love, love, love it, our area.

Ron Lyons (10:50):

So you're there. This isn't, and I'm not, I'm not hating on Mansfield, but this is, is not Mansfield. This is very, very

Criscilla Anderson (10:56):
Different, very different. And we are so happy here and we're not going

Ron Lyons (11:01):

Anywhere. So talk to me about like, what is it about it for some people it's the small town feel for some people it's the, you know, the, the, the sense of community, what is it that makes Celina slash Prosper, this area so amazing for you guys.

Criscilla Anderson (11:15):

I love the peace. I love that. It's not congested. I love that things are convenient, but I'm so accessible to the city and all the things that I need in a city. I'm a city girl. I grew up in Las Vegas. <laugh> moved to LA. Okay. And I'm a beach girl. That's the only thing I'm missing is the beach. Right. Right. Um, but I do love the small town vibe. Everybody is so kind comes together and I still have the city right there across the street.

Ron Lyons (11:45): <laugh> absolutely.

Coffey Anderson (11:46):

I like that. It's a little town, but everybody here has big city outlook on growth, capitalism, money, the area. How do we keep the small town heart, but still accommodate the people that are moving in. How do we capitalize on that? How do we build something that's gonna last for later, right on. That's special. And that's not in every area

Ron Lyons (12:08):

You're recognized. Probably everywhere you go. Yep. How, how, how do the people here interact with you since you're, you're a local celebrity. You're, you're, you're a national celebrity. How, what's your interaction with the people who live here?

Coffey Anderson (12:22):

Um, I think a lot of 'em just come up, shake hands, man. We're glad you're here right on love what y'all are doing. Yep. Good to see you. If you need anything. This is what I do. This is, I think it's just welcoming. Very

Ron Lyons (12:32): Good.

Criscilla Anderson (12:33):
Um, it's it is definitely welcoming.

Coffey Anderson (12:34):

Awesome. You know, there are areas and there's times when people fan girl and that's great, cuz that means you're doing what you need to be doing. <laugh> that means you're good at what

Ron Lyons (12:42):
You do. A hundred percent

Coffey Anderson (12:43):
People to love you and care about you. Right. You know, and I'd rather them come up and shake my

hand and say, oh my gosh, I want a picture right now. Oh my goodness. We love you guys versus,

Criscilla Anderson (12:55):

But, but I also think there's I also think there's a sense of protection here too. I think people know we live here. They're very protective of us. They're not running around broadcasting that we live over. We feel safe. I love that. And I love that.

Ron Lyons (13:06):
Yeah. Yeah. That's amazing. They're

Coffey Anderson (13:07):
Very protective of us and our children and our situations and everything.

Ron Lyons (13:11):

I love every bit of that. So I'm curious a little bit of background. Like how in the world did you decide country music? There are so many genres out there you've have done anything differently. What, what, what led you or inspired you to become a country music star?

Coffey Anderson (13:24):

I think my granddad sang gospel music in the Chile circuit. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And so the Chitlin circuit, for those of you that don't know, it's where black performers, the venues that they could play. And a lot of times they didn't get paid, but they would give 'em a plate of food and the plate would be chitlins or something. No kidding. So they called the Chitlin circuit. Wow. So my granddad sang with Sam cook, rest in peace. He's sang with, um, the mighty clowns of joy. Last, the soul stirs, gospel quartets. It's kind the battle of the voices. Right. So my mother was one of 13 and so all of them can sing and play. Right. So I grew up here in gospel music. I sneak off to the brown county. Fair and rodeo,

Ron Lyons (14:00): Really?

Coffey Anderson (14:00):

With candy Miller. Right? Okay. Candy Miller was the homie. Wasn't the girlfriend. I, my friend <laugh>. Okay. So I get daddy's truck Uhhuh. I put on a brush popper like a old Garth did have the wings that buttoned down. Yeah. Horrible. Yep. Wranglers way too tight. Um, got my boots on. I'll walk into the barn. By the time I walked from the truck to the barn, I got my behind pinch five times. I didn't know. That was a thing <laugh> like country girls pinch you. If they think you're cute. They don't, they just pinch it. They didn't know. That was a thing. So now I'm, I'm walking around like, you know, I'm fighting mosquitoes, like move woman. Get off. We get to the barn. There's a guy saying, Hey, good. Looking on a gooseneck flatbed trailer. There's a thousand people in this feed barn. Hey, good looking here, what you got cooking. how bout cooking something up with me -there and he is, the place is going nuts.

Ron Lyons (14:57): Right.

Coffey Anderson (14:57):

Right. And I get chills talking about it. So I'm looking at the dust and the saw dust come up, the lights looks like smoke. The band is jamming. People are going nuts. And I'm like, these are my people right on. I like this and that bug never left. I could look at this.

Ron Lyons (15:11):
Oh yeah. Yeah. I know. It's still it. Yeah. It's all within you.

Coffey Anderson (15:15):

It's just so having that gospel voice with that feel. And I still like singing in small wooden venues. Right. Even though we're huge now, right. I still the grand Ole Opry, which is insane. I made my Opry debut May 3rd. I still like those types of places right on. Cause that's where I've first found it.

Ron Lyons (15:38):

Guys. I hope you're enjoying this episode of CelinaRadio.com and while talking to Coffey and CCriscilla is absolutely incredible and such a blessing to me, such a blessing to the community, just move all of the celebrity stuff aside and realize that these two people are just absolutely amazing and genuine people. I mean, I just don't even know how to tell you how authentic and how real they are. So for a country singer, who's just rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in country music and a dancer who has danced with some of the biggest names in the business. And now they're right here in Celina. Texas is just, it's a Testament to where we live. It's Celina baby. And it's amazing. These are two amazing people. I hope you're loving getting that same connection that I got from them. And I hope that I just hope that they have continued amazing success together. They've got an incredible family and a blessed future. So guys, let's get back to the rest of this episode with Coffey and SCriscilla. Anderson is your life is your world. Is your career, is your relationship? Is this a God thing?

Coffey Anderson (17:29):
I, I, I think it is. I think that we, if I would've married anyone else, I wouldn't be here.

Ron Lyons (17:36): You

Coffey Anderson (17:36):

Wouldn't be here. I, I wouldn't be here. I think she has pushed me to be great, to be perfect to, she's always been a devil advocate on records on, well, if you sound like this or I, and we were honest with each other, we made a point to be honest, when it comes to what we create, right. Is this choreography good? Eh, I didn't like that. Gotcha. You've done better. Or is this song good? Eh, it doesn't do this. Or when you say that it comes across this way. Right. And that's not who we are. Right. So I think if I would've married anyone else, I would not have been as good as I am now.

Ron Lyons (18:11): I

Criscilla Anderson (18:11):

Understand. I feel like I've seen being a dancer and being with lots of artists, you see artists fall because there's no one around them holding accountability. Right. It's almost like they say yes to whatever they want to do. Mm-hmm <affirmative> and you're not gonna succeed that way. And so with us, I think knowing that we can be honest because no one else is gonna be as honest as we are with each other, that's gonna make us

Ron Lyons (18:40):
Stronger. I like it. And so I saw a recent video that you guys did and you, you, you got him out there

dancing and he could dance really well. I was impressed.

Coffey Anderson (18:50): Oh, the BB Rex. Yeah.

Ron Lyons (18:51):
It was great. Yeah. And you guys, I mean, just, I love that. I mean, there's

Coffey Anderson (18:55): No, I'm not a dancer,

Ron Lyons (18:56):
But you did a mate. You did well. He did awesome.

Criscilla Anderson (19:00): Got

Ron Lyons (19:00):
Really, really, really, really,

Coffey Anderson (19:01):

When you go to her dance class and you see, or you go to LA and you see dancers, you're like, right. I'm a Groover <laugh> and I'm black. So I got rhythm. It's just in me. I I'm a, I can groove on beat, dancing, something different.

Ron Lyons (19:16):
I got you. Well, and it

Coffey Anderson (19:18):
Took me six months to do that 15 seconds.

Criscilla Anderson (19:20):
No, it didn't took you a day. And I think we need to make another one.

Ron Lyons (19:22):

And to someone like myself who, who doesn't wouldn't know, you know, that was amazing. It fantastic. So, but I'm curious. Can you sing SCriscilla?

Criscilla Anderson (19:32):
No, not in the slide as not even a tiny bit.

Ron Lyons (19:36):
Tell me about her singing. Describe it for me.

Coffey Anderson (19:38):
I need her to sing more. I don't care if anyone can sing good or bad. I just want people to sing to me. No

one sings to me. I sing to everyone else. <laugh> and

Criscilla Anderson (19:49):
I can't even sing happy birthday. Like if I'm holding a camera, videoing a singing, happy birthday to

someone I'm putting my mouth away from the mic. True. Okay.

Ron Lyons (19:57): True.

Coffey Anderson (19:58): True. I mean, it's

Ron Lyons (19:59): Very cat, cat scratch.

Criscilla Anderson (20:00): It's tragic.

Coffey Anderson (20:02):
<laugh> um, milk jug wasting, you know like when milk is just coming out, that there's a lot of that. It's

odd and

Ron Lyons (20:11):
You're, and you're not, and you're not getting punched right now. So that's

Criscilla Anderson (20:14): No, cuz I agree. <laugh>

Coffey Anderson (20:17):
Wait. We made a pact to speak truth. We, we said, we just, just told you

Ron Lyons (20:21):

This. I like it. I like it. And, and here it is rolling out right in front of me. The truth without consequence. I like it. That's good stuff. So Carella, what's, what's a secret to a, to a happy marriage. Obviously you're in a unique situation because you're a celebrity, he's a celebrity. How do you make it work? What's a secret.

Criscilla Anderson (20:42):

I don't know that there's a secret, but I will say honesty and communication. And I know it sounds so cliche cuz you hear it all the time. But when I say communication, I don't just mean tell each other everything. I mean learn how people listen to you. Learn how you speak, learn how it's portrayed, tone everything, communication. And being able to speak to each other in a loving manner. Like even when you're in a bad mood,

Ron Lyons (21:08): Right.

Criscilla Anderson (21:09):
Literally learning how to talk to each other and consistently chase each other's heart.

Ron Lyons (21:14):

I love that. Yeah. That's amazing. You're so blessed to have this. I mean she clearly loves you and thank you ma and, and it's not because of the celebrity, Tom. She loves you. I think she'd love you. If you couldn't sing 1, 1, 1, 1 part of a song. Right.

Coffey Anderson (21:31): I, I

Ron Lyons (21:31):
Agree with that. So I think that's amazing. So you, I

Coffey Anderson (21:33):
Am gorgeous though. And <laugh> um, funny. There's a, there's a lot here. There

Ron Lyons (21:40):
Is you offer an awful lot.

Coffey Anderson (21:43):
This is a Shakta board for women. You know what I mean? And she won. And so the whole security

board is hers. So the jelly, the honey

Ron Lyons (21:54): ISN, the whole thing.

Criscilla Anderson (21:55): Keep it going, babe.

Ron Lyons (21:56): Keep going. Thes.

Coffey Anderson (21:58): You're welcome prunes.

Ron Lyons (22:00):

Oh gosh. That's fantastic. So since you guys have such good energy and sense on Celina Radio, we tend to do something kind of fun. I wanna do a little bit of kind of a variation of say newlyw dating gang kind of deal. See how well, you know each other. Okay,

Criscilla Anderson (22:15): Here

Ron Lyons (22:15):
We go. And the way the truth. So what'll happen is I'll I'll ask something and we're

Coffey Anderson (22:21): Gonna be 100 too. Okay.

Ron Lyons (22:23):
Let's let's let's see. Let's see if that works. And uh, let's

Coffey Anderson (22:27):
All the listeners lean in. This is, this is about to get

Ron Lyons (22:31):

Okay. All right. Coffey. I'm gonna ask you this question and then you're gonna have to say Carella you're gonna have to say yes. You're right. Or honey, you are way off. Okay. Okay. All right. Coffey. If, if CRI could access any store at any time

Coffey Anderson (22:45):
Target, <laugh> what you talking

Ron Lyons (22:49):
About. Okay. And what do you say Christella yes or no?

Criscilla Anderson (22:53):
Okay. I have an explanation for this. It was target for a very long time. All

Ron Lyons (22:59): Good? Okay.

Criscilla Anderson (23:00): Now it's Amazon. Oh

Coffey Anderson (23:01): Girl. I'm

Criscilla Anderson (23:02): Not trying to leave my house.

Ron Lyons (23:03):
Okay. Wow. True. Okay. True. All right. Okay. Very good. Uh, so, alright. Christella this one's for you.

Okay. What is Coffey's favorite comfort food.

Criscilla Anderson (23:14): Well, he loves food <laugh>

Ron Lyons (23:17):
I, I, I kind of caught that earlier when he was given that list of

Criscilla Anderson (23:20):

Okay. Well we got in and out. Okay. This is probably his favorite, fast food. Nice. Okay. Um, home cooking would probably be ribs, barbecue, all that kind of stuff and fine dining would be like a steakhouse, like nice steak.

Ron Lyons (23:39):
Nice. Okay. Tell me she nailed it. Or did she missed the halfway?

Coffey Anderson (23:44):
Seriously? I, I think halfway, I think cuz I grew up Cajun food.

Ron Lyons (23:48): Oh. So

Coffey Anderson (23:49): Home cooked is right. 100%.

Criscilla Anderson (23:51):
Oh Cajun. And barbecue's the same thing those

Coffey Anderson (23:54):
Folks see, see, see why city, folks and hundred folks should not marry.

Ron Lyons (23:59):

Say you California showing through you.

Coffey Anderson (24:01): Wow.

Criscilla Anderson (24:01): It literally is the

Coffey Anderson (24:02): Same. No. Oh my gosh.

Criscilla Anderson (24:04): It's Southern stuff.

Coffey Anderson (24:06):
We are losing fans for. You have so many people. Your side

Criscilla Anderson (24:09): It's calories and fat.

Coffey Anderson (24:10):
You have so many people on your side. You said that you've divided all of north, Texas.

Ron Lyons (24:15):
Wow. There you go. See what do it? Goodness. You'll do

Coffey Anderson (24:18):
It. Pray for me. Pray for me. Stretch your hands towards your,

Criscilla Anderson (24:23): Towards

Coffey Anderson (24:23):
Your, your phone right now. Father in the name. Oh,

Ron Lyons (24:26):
We need the community to join

Coffey Anderson (24:28): Right now. Lord. Please show

Criscilla Anderson (24:30):
This woman the difference was I right on the fast food? Was I right on fast food?

Coffey Anderson (24:36):
A burger place is absolutely

Criscilla Anderson (24:38): In and out in

Coffey Anderson (24:39):
And out. I'm a taco bell guy, but they stopped using meat. Oh

Ron Lyons (24:43): Ouch.

Coffey Anderson (24:43):
They stopped using me. So cardboard, shavings that look like me. You can't do it.

Criscilla Anderson (24:47): <laugh>

Coffey Anderson (24:48):
If I wanted to eat a cereal box, I would do that taco bell.

Ron Lyons (24:51): Right

Coffey Anderson (24:52): On upgrade.

Ron Lyons (24:52): There you go. There

Coffey Anderson (24:54):
You go. But in and out and now taco Boyo is kind of,

Ron Lyons (24:56):
I was gonna ask you, I was gonna ask you. So if you, if you're not digging the taco bell, can you swing

with little taco? Boyo

Coffey Anderson (25:02): Bono's off, off the chain. If I

Criscilla Anderson (25:04):
Could eat meat like that Uhhuh, I would enjoy taco,

Ron Lyons (25:07): But right

Coffey Anderson (25:08):
On Buenos. Good. They have good salsa. Good chips. Yep.

Ron Lyons (25:11):
Yep. And, and the problem is

Coffey Anderson (25:12): In and out. Come on.

Criscilla Anderson (25:14): <laugh> in a box with lid.

Coffey Anderson (25:19):
This is how I order in a box with the lid. Wow. Is your back hurting? Why you leaning?

Criscilla Anderson (25:22):
Because I have to talk into the one.

Coffey Anderson (25:25): Okay.

Criscilla Anderson (25:26):
That's he's worried about mustard instead of the spread. Really? See,

Coffey Anderson (25:29):
I got really mustard instead of the spreads. You,

Ron Lyons (25:32):
She knows you. I like it. So what

Coffey Anderson (25:34):
That's all we have to stay married. Cuz it would take too long to train a new one.

Ron Lyons (25:37):
A hundred percent. Yeah. You'd never. Yeah. It'd take you three years just to get that right there. I don't

want

Coffey Anderson (25:41):
That. Yeah, no. Yeah. I'm just gonna put up with what she needs

Ron Lyons (25:45): Red on,

Coffey Anderson (25:46): Which is talks soft,

Ron Lyons (25:47): Great.

Coffey Anderson (25:48): Be thoughtful.

Ron Lyons (25:49): Right?

Coffey Anderson (25:50): Um,

Ron Lyons (25:52): What's that

Criscilla Anderson (25:53):
Other thing thing don't tell me, I spend too much. <laugh>

Coffey Anderson (25:56):
Don't say it in front of people. I'm gonna say

Criscilla Anderson (25:58): It. Don't ever tell me that.

Ron Lyons (26:00): Yeah. So

Coffey Anderson (26:00): Like

Ron Lyons (26:01):
It. So, so if she goes to in and out, she knows how to order all that stuff. And I'm gonna ask you this and

then he's got a confirmer deny. Okay. What's his drink?

Criscilla Anderson (26:10): Uh, Dr. Pepper or Coke.

Ron Lyons (26:13): Okay. Talk to

Coffey Anderson (26:13):
Me, Dr. Pepper with lemon. I'm

Criscilla Anderson (26:15): Diet Dr. I want all the diet.

Ron Lyons (26:16):
Yeah. Yeah. I'm with you on that one. Yeah. Dr. Pepper.

Criscilla Anderson (26:19): And he can't do

Coffey Anderson (26:19):
It. Dr. Pepper with lemon. What in the, and you know, what's crazy. If I drink a soda I'll I will open the lid

Uhhuh and put it in the refrigerator to make it get flat. It's

Ron Lyons (26:30): So gross in the

Coffey Anderson (26:31):
World. I don't want any bubbles. I want Dr. Pepper. Koolaid. <laugh> insert, whatever ethnic, ethnic joke

you want. I need Dr. Pepper. Koolaid, Sprite. Koolaid. I don't want any bubbles. Oh

Ron Lyons (26:41): Man. That

Criscilla Anderson (26:42):
Is, see. And I live for the carbonation.

Ron Lyons (26:44):

Oh absolutely. That's the whole reason you drink it. Right, man. I need a diet. Oh man. I know where you guys are gonna go on your way outta here. <laugh> so alright. Uh, Criscilla. I'm gonna put you back on the, uh, put you back on the hot, on the, on the hot seat here. Okay? Okay. Um, on your first official date mm-hmm <affirmative> okay. Whatever that means, we don't really know. Okay. Who was he wearing?

Criscilla Anderson (27:06): I have no idea.

Ron Lyons (27:07):

<laugh> oh, you can't get it wrong then?

Criscilla Anderson (27:10):
I don't think he has any idea either.

Ron Lyons (27:12): I don't know. Do

Coffey Anderson (27:13):
You light blue Deni shirt? Pearl snaps. Black cowboy.

Criscilla Anderson (27:16):
You were not wearing a button.

Ron Lyons (27:18): Listen to that.

Criscilla Anderson (27:19): You were 100% in a t-shirt

Coffey Anderson (27:22):
<laugh> I have a picture for my first date.

Ron Lyons (27:25):
Oh man. Okay. Let's see how we handle this.

Criscilla Anderson (27:28): That picture was not our

Coffey Anderson (27:29):
First de I wasn't girl jeans, but that's that's okay.

Criscilla Anderson (27:32):
He did used to wear girl jeans. Okay.

Ron Lyons (27:34): What, because

Coffey Anderson (27:35):
First of all, I have a 30 inch. That's true. In sea, right? 32 waist.

Ron Lyons (27:39): Okay. Alright. So there's

Coffey Anderson (27:40):
No, there was no guy jeans at that point.

Ron Lyons (27:42): Right? Right. That's

Coffey Anderson (27:43):
They weren't bedazzled on the, on the butt. Like, like Luke Bryan wears 'em I'm not wearing bedazzled

pants.

Ron Lyons (27:49):
Well, that's a little scary.

Coffey Anderson (27:51): I'm shaped like my mama.

Criscilla Anderson (27:52):
He just bedazzled his belt in his guitar strap,

Ron Lyons (27:55):
But that's good. That's good. He's got this whole image.

Coffey Anderson (27:58): That's boy stuff.

Ron Lyons (27:59):
Yeah. That's I couldn't do the other though. Girl jeans with the pockets done. No, no. Yeah. Not so much.

Coffey Anderson (28:04): They can keep that.

Criscilla Anderson (28:06):
Oh, I've secretly thrown stuff of his away without him.

Coffey Anderson (28:09): Really? It's not a secret.

Ron Lyons (28:10):

Yeah. And so he does actually know <laugh> it's not a secret. <laugh>. That's awesome. I love it. So, so, so you are kinda hating on the Garth Brooks, you know, back in the day that that whole popper shirt and all that stuff. That was a lot. That was the rocking thing back then. That was a lot. But it's not now, how do you describe how you describe the country style now?

Coffey Anderson (28:32):
Um, I think it's country is now hipster because of Yellowstone

Ron Lyons (28:37): Right on.

Coffey Anderson (28:38):
I mean, there's the number one? Halloween costume last year was Rip.

Ron Lyons (28:43): Wow.

Criscilla Anderson (28:43): I I'm not mad at that.

Ron Lyons (28:45): <laugh> here we

Coffey Anderson (28:47):
Go. Here we go. Black glasses, dark jacket, black hat jeans. It, it was Rip

Ron Lyons (28:55):
Right on. Right on. So what's tell me you brought it up. Criscilla. Tell me what what's the, what's the

biggest appeal about Rip? What is it? Is it the way he looks? His attitude,

Criscilla Anderson (29:07):
His personality. I think it's his attitude. It's his personality. And he doesn't ID G a F

Coffey Anderson (29:12): <laugh> doesn't give up.

Ron Lyons (29:14):
Yep. I got a little sensor, but I can use it. That's awesome. Okay. So yeah. So yellow Yellowstone fans?

Criscilla Anderson (29:20):
Yes. Oh yes. We binge like three seasons in a row. Cause I very nice. I just started watching it last year.

Right on. And I'm obsessed.

Ron Lyons (29:29): Isn't it

Criscilla Anderson (29:29):

Amazing. It's so good. That's what made me wanna go out and buy land. I didn't appreciate land until I watched Yellowstone.

Coffey Anderson (29:36):
That's the reason why all the Californians are moving here. Thank you, Taylor Sheridan. <laugh> for

writing such a good show.

Ron Lyons (29:44): Oh

Coffey Anderson (29:44):
Man. And now they're here. We have yoga and brisket because of Yellowstone.

Ron Lyons (29:49):
A kind of, yeah. It's like fusion now. Right? Fusion is everything. Fusion and music. Fusion and food

Coffey Anderson (29:55): Fusion is everything. Fusion.

Ron Lyons (29:56):
Oh mommy. There you go. Mommy. It's kind of the thing right now. Right?

Criscilla Anderson (30:00):
Okay. Put him in the hot seat. <laugh>

Coffey Anderson (30:02):
Cause she talked about her love for rep. I get it. It's okay.

Ron Lyons (30:04):

Okay. So, so if, if you could take over one task for her, it could be a chore. It could be a thing that she routinely has to do. One thing that it's gonna become your thing. Now what's the one thing she'd say that you, she wants you to take over.

Coffey Anderson (30:17):
I I'd choreograph for the Dallas cowboy cheerleaders.

Criscilla Anderson (30:20): No, absolutely.

Ron Lyons (30:22): It

Criscilla Anderson (30:22):

Would be laundry <laugh>

Coffey Anderson (30:25): He asked

Ron Lyons (30:25):
Me makes a huge difference. Hush.

Coffey Anderson (30:27):
Hush. He asked me that's my turn. <laugh> it's my turn.

Criscilla Anderson (30:31): I can handle that.

Ron Lyons (30:33):
Oh my, my goodness. I'm good too. <laugh>

Criscilla Anderson (30:36): I think it's not.

Ron Lyons (30:37):
I think this is more of, uh, Coffey wants to take that over,

Criscilla Anderson (30:42): Right? Exactly.

Ron Lyons (30:43):
So you go, you go watch some Rip episode too. I

Coffey Anderson (30:45):
Know what kind of choreography they really need. <laugh> I know what kind of choreography we'll sell

Criscilla Anderson (30:51): Tickets. Get

Ron Lyons (30:52): Out. Oh man.

Criscilla Anderson (30:53): You're fired

Ron Lyons (30:54):

Is insane. That is, that is crazy. All right. Criso you are back in the hot seat, so to speak. And I'm just curious if, if he goes out today and I don't know if he does scratch offs and stuff like that, but let's just say he picks one up. Okay. And he hits $50,000. First of all, does he tell you he got it? Yes. Second of all, what does he do with the 50 grand? He just got what's what's what's something. He would spend that money on a guilty pleasure of his, what would he come home with?

Criscilla Anderson (31:23): A rolls Royce.

Ron Lyons (31:25):
Wow. Wow. Is that right?

Coffey Anderson (31:28): Absolutely.

Criscilla Anderson (31:29): <laugh>

Coffey Anderson (31:30): Rolls Royce ghost.

Ron Lyons (31:32): Oh my

Coffey Anderson (31:33):
Goodness. Powder blue oyster. White leather, interior.

Ron Lyons (31:35): <laugh>

Criscilla Anderson (31:36):
But he hasn't thought of this or anything. Oh, already bought one.

Ron Lyons (31:41):
Is that right? Talk to me about this. But

Criscilla Anderson (31:44):
It sat. It was like taking up space.

Ron Lyons (31:47): Yeah.

Coffey Anderson (31:47):

Yeah. It rained a lot. It was winter. It wasn't the right time. I told

Criscilla Anderson (31:50): Her to get rid of it. <laugh>

Ron Lyons (31:54):
So, so, so it's gone now? Yeah.

Coffey Anderson (31:56): Yeah.

Ron Lyons (31:57):
Okay. All right. I, I, I sense that I shouldn't ask much more at

Criscilla Anderson (32:01):
That. No you can. Would you get that again? Or would you get something else? I'd

Coffey Anderson (32:05): Get a McLaren.

Criscilla Anderson (32:06): Oh, okay. I

Coffey Anderson (32:07):
Like clar something. You and I can go on date night, but it's fun. It's sexy. It's very fast.

Criscilla Anderson (32:12): Will I fit?

Ron Lyons (32:14): If I

Criscilla Anderson (32:14): Fit, will fit

Coffey Anderson (32:15):
The McLaren. I can fit in the Chevy Corvette. I can't. Yeah.

Ron Lyons (32:19): That's that's tough.

Coffey Anderson (32:20): Can't do that. Yeah. You

Criscilla Anderson (32:21): Don't want co fit.

Ron Lyons (32:23):
You don't. You're gonna strike me as a Corvette. That's

Criscilla Anderson (32:25): A midlife crisis car.

Coffey Anderson (32:26):
I'm not a Corvette guy, but the Ferrari for eight, eight, I can fit in

Ron Lyons (32:30):
Right on. So we're gonna see that soon. Mm. Maybe.

Coffey Anderson (32:34):
Yeah. Saw Matt white when I bought passed out.

Criscilla Anderson (32:36):
So what you buying me with that? 50 grand? What would you buy me with that? 50 grand. Oh, you

Coffey Anderson (32:41): Spend it on Amazon.

Criscilla Anderson (32:42): <laugh>

Coffey Anderson (32:44):
I just had a $4,000 couch delivered to my house this morning. Really? I'm not listening to what she has

to say

Criscilla Anderson (32:50):
Right now. Hey, that's cheap for a couch.

Ron Lyons (32:53): Oh

Criscilla Anderson (32:54):
No. I've seen her left there. Oh

Coffey Anderson (32:56):
Man. Next question. Save my marriage. Yeah, save my marriage.

Ron Lyons (32:59):
Let me just say I can relate in, in the sense that I literally can walk out my front door on any given date

and it looks like somebody built a Fort out of Amazon boxes.

Criscilla Anderson (33:10):
Okay. Listen, I can go to target and you won't see anything I buy or I can get it on Amazon and you just

happen to see every item individually packaged.

Coffey Anderson (33:19):
That's fine. Next, next question.

Criscilla Anderson (33:20):
<laugh> nothing's changed. You're just seeing it.

Ron Lyons (33:24):

<laugh> all right. I'm gonna pop back over to Coffey here. And I'm gonna ask him this one. So if, if you could cast her to be a star in any movie that's already been, or maybe that hasn't been made. Okay. And what do you say? SCriscilla?

Coffey Anderson (33:40): Cinderella.

Criscilla Anderson (33:41): That's pretty good.

Coffey Anderson (33:42):
Cinderella. Cinderella night day at Cinderella. Absolutely. That was my favorite Disney, uh, princess.

Ron Lyons (33:49):
Very, very, and look at her. Yeah.

Criscilla Anderson (33:51): And

Ron Lyons (33:51):
She's happy. She's happy. She likes that answer.

Coffey Anderson (33:54):
Right. And she's OCD. So my house is constantly clean and Cinderella was great at

Criscilla Anderson (33:59):
Keeping a home. I can do both. I can be a princess and a maid at the same time. Yeah.

Ron Lyons (34:04):
Wow. That's impressive. I like it. Crazy.

Coffey Anderson (34:06): It

Ron Lyons (34:06):

Is clearly have a fantastic relationship. And I know you've got a super, super tight schedule. You guys are amazing for sitting down with me. We've got, we've got a ton of fans out there. You guys are you're on your way up and every single way. Thank you. Even if you didn't have the celebrity stuff, if you weren't the celebrity dancer and in the, the country music star, you guys would still be amazing. So thank you.

Criscilla Anderson (34:31):
No, thank you so much. Thank

Coffey Anderson (34:32): You for having let's.

Ron Lyons (34:33):
Let's remind everybody real quick. I wanna be sure that we get a lot of people out there for your event.

Talk

Coffey Anderson (34:37):

To me September 10th, September 10th, this Saturday, September 10th, freedom Fest is gonna be in Celina. We actually partnered with the city fencing fire department. Um, ELs everybody. We literally partnered to make this hopefully something that we can do here for many years to come. It is a completely family friendly music festival food. The whole nine starts at 10:00 AM and music starts at 6:00 PM, goes till about nine 30. And so I, I, I may get that way on purpose. Cause I know that that if you have your kids, you don't want, I want you to enjoy right on kids. Start to melt down. I don't care who you are. Absolutely. The meltdown mind do right

Ron Lyons (35:14): On.

Criscilla Anderson (35:15):
But there are a lot of kids coming.

Coffey Anderson (35:16):

There are a lot of kids coming and I want them, I want them to, I, they need to see celebrities and stars speak up for believing in God. They need to see celebrities speaking up for the greatest country on earth, the greatest state in the union. We won't stop talking about faith, family freedom, or the ability to defend all those three.

Ron Lyons (35:35):

I am. I am so honored to, to, to have you sitting here talking like this and, and, and just quickly your connection to law enforcement and military right through your dad.

Coffey Anderson (35:45):

Right? My dad Stanley Anderson, um, served in the us air force and he also worked in law enforcement for 17 years, Texas youth commission in Brownwood, Texas. And, um, we have a lot of friends that have served, uh, my best friend, James Parton served as well. And he's retiring this year, right on. Yeah. For, for 20 years of serving our country. And it's a good dude, just a 25 years. He went in at 1843. He'll get out. Wow. So 25 years serving, and it's just middle America. They're, they're the ones that send their kids, not the Ivy league, not any of those, not the upper crust. And so my crowd is middle America. It's the blue collar, mom and dad. It's the school teacher that has two boys. And one of them goes to serve

Ron Lyons (36:32): Right on. So,

Criscilla Anderson (36:33):
And, and his show is one of the few shows nowadays that kids and parents can go to together. It

Ron Lyons (36:40):
Is, which is all the more amazing it's

Coffey Anderson (36:42): Clean. Yeah. We have a clean

Criscilla Anderson (36:42):
Show. It's such a fun show. And I'm not saying that as the biased. Why? No, no,

Ron Lyons (36:47): No.

Criscilla Anderson (36:47):
Seriously. It is. He is very entertaining on stage. It is an incredible he's

Ron Lyons (36:52):
Full of energy. His, his music has message. Mm-hmm <affirmative> you guys have incredible energy. You

guys are just, you've got everything. Right.

Coffey Anderson (37:01):
Um, we also have a reality show on Netflix called a country of after it is 12 episodes. We created the

show with Roma, Downey. Okay. Who was the angel and touch by angel.

Ron Lyons (37:10): Right.

Criscilla Anderson (37:10): And Mark Burnett.

Coffey Anderson (37:11):
And she married, um, a guy named Mark Burnett. He created a little show called shark tank, another

one called survivor.

Ron Lyons (37:16): This was a small one,

Coffey Anderson (37:17):

Right? Another one called the voice. Right, right. Just little, little small. <laugh> you may watch 'em one day when they go big. But, um, country ever after is a show that talks about faith, family and freedom. Mm-hmm <affirmative> a lot of reality shows. They want to highlight the drama. We didn't do that. Right. We make the big things little, right. We make the little things big and we try to keep the Lord in the middle of all of it. Yes.

Ron Lyons (37:41):

And, and I think that that's why you're enjoying the success you are and, and going and loving and living like you are. You've got the thank you. You've got, you've got God at the middle of everything, so it's amazing guys. Thank you. So that, so, so much for that. And I want, I'm gonna give you one last task SCriscilla. Okay. Uh, going outta here, you got

Coffey Anderson (38:01):
More marriage questions. Okay. Go ahead. Go ahead.

Ron Lyons (38:03):
Keep him in line. Okay. Thank you.

Criscilla Anderson (38:06): Thank you. I need it.

Ron Lyons (38:09): All

Coffey Anderson (38:09):
Right guys. She's the only one that can thank y'all for listening and thank you for your support. Thank

you for

Criscilla Anderson (38:13):
Having us. Yes. Thank you so much.

Coffey Anderson (38:14): Yeah, man, this was great.

Ron Lyons (38:25):

So what did you think about that? Was that not the best time ever. I know we were walking all over each other in the microphones and sometimes it was hard to understand what somebody was saying, but it was authentic and real just like they are. And here's the truth. I am constantly blessed by the best guest on some line of radio.com. I have literally the best, the very, very best people sit down with me and spend time. And I just don't understand why I'm so blessed to be able to do that. But, but I'm very, very grateful for it. I'm grateful for you, the listener and all of the support that you give this podcast. The simple fact is that Coffey and CriscCriscilla, they didn't have to spend any time with me. He's out performing all over the countries on the grand Ole Opry. They have a reality series on Netflix. She's dancing with Rihanna and Snoop, Doug and all of these fantastic entertainers. And yet somehow they find it in their heart to sit down with me in a little wood framed house in Celina, Texas, and share their story and their afternoon. So come see me this Saturday evening. Let's hang out with Coffey and his wife let's have a really, really good time at freedom Fest and let's support this event. Let's support local let's support, Celina, Texas. Let's be grateful for all of the blessings that is Celina, Texas,

Ron Lyons (40:12):
And guys just like, I always say, God bless, and I'll see you on the next show.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
It's the goods. And it's the glory, a hunter stRipes on hunter stories. It's the pledge of allegiance on the

4th of July. It's some handwritten letters from home. It's some sleepless nights. Lord,

Speaker 5 (40:55): It's

Speaker 4 (40:55):
His newborn baby. He lived with his wife, Mr.
